New Solar Family

The Currie family recently moved back to Warwick. Being off grid was an important factor for them when considering their new home build. The Warwick Solar Estate offered the perfect blend of suburban living while being disconnected from the main electricity grid. Their system consists of the following:

• 7.9kW solar array with a Fronius 6kW Selectronic Certified grid inverter 
• A Selectronic 7.5kW battery inverter
• 12kWh of usable battery storage utilising PowerPlus lithium batteries
• A weatherproof cabinet for the battery inverter and batteries

Instead of having a noisy generator as a backup, the Curries are connected to the community battery system, which supports their system during extended periods of rainy or cloudy weather. This stand alone battery system will provide all their energy requirements for the foreseeable future. If their situation changes and they require more energy, this system can easily be expanded to meet their needs.
